Memories of Childhood in Birmingham

My memories begin just before the outbreak of WW2 and occur in Birmingham when I lived at that time. My family home was destroyed by bombs in August 1940 and having been rehoused I can still remember being lifted on to my Father's shoulders to see the lights of the bombing and fires in Coventry in November 1940.
