Memories as a child in early 40s

I remember, as a very small child, my wonderful Mother taking my totally blind father (loss of sight caused by gas during the First World War), his guide dog Skippy, and me, their young daughter, to the air raid shelter night after night. After these constant disturbances it was decided to not go to shelter anymore, but if we went, we all "went" together.
