Kingston Down Grave 297

No tumulus; the bones of a child, pretty perfect; no appearance of a coffin. Near the neck were a small ivory pendant, or ornament [M 6260], with a hole in its centre, through which some brass wire is passed, and serves for a loop to hang it by; five small earthen and glass beads; one yellow one [M 6186], strung on a small silver ring, as before; and two small silver rings, with sliding knots, as before. Near the left hip was the blade of a knife; and, lower down, an iron instrument, with a small slender ringle at one end of it.
