Kingston Down Grave 295
No tumulus. Just below the turf was a small black urn of coarse earth. It was broken in pieces by the spade; and just below it, before we came to the chalk, were the bones of a child, nearly decayed. No appearance of a coffin. This grave was not above a foot deep.
