Iron sword with wood and sheepskin scabbard remains

Only tang and upper part of blade, length 33cm. In poor condition. Remains of mouth of wooden sheath with leather cover.X-ray no. 19. Reveals small inlaid dagger or sword on one side in centre of blade close to hilt, and opposite it on the other an inlaid circle.This is gr. 6 sword and it looks rather like it from its engraving AC VIII, pl. XII third from left. It was a specially fine sword or [yard] length 37 inches.
