Iron sword with organic remains of scabbard

Sword: length 88cm, but tip of tang broken off (originally c. 89.5cm). Width of blade in sheath max. 5.8cm. In poor condition, but substantial remains of wooden sheath: wood with vertical grain with hairy remains beneath (eg. sheepskin lining). In one place a very well preserved fragment of leather, wrinkled or embossed, on top of wood.X-ray no. 9: 5 composite rods in double assembly, in alternate pattern. Very clear on upper part of blade.
