Kingston or Sibertswold. No Mayer card for this.Shield boss, height 7.7cm, diam. 13cm. Low straight cone with small stud on top (broken) and slight carination above sloping waist and narrow flange, width 1.5cm. Flange damage: one rivet with stud head survives.Accession number determined by gatty slip. SCH had originally placed this shield boss in unprovenanced objects. Though not exact, there are similarities between the antiquarian drawings and the line drawing by Marion Cox. – D.H.
