Iron handle, not Anglo-Saxon?

online resource

Large iron handle, length with staples 16cm. Iron drop handle, with acorn terminals, still corroded to the iron staples which fixed it to box or chest. It is very large, and if A.S. could only have belonged to a coffin. Probably it is not A.S. at all, but Roman or Medieval.
