Iron firesteel

online resource
posted on 2021-10-26, 19:40 authored by Helena HamerowHelena Hamerow
Iron purse-mount or strike-a-light, damaged, length 9.4cm. Usual peaked centre, and markedly incurved ends. Flat.Catalogue number M 6188 also used for an iron purse mount from Ozengell. The Gatty Slip and the Index card indicate that there were two \Iron handles\" from Kingston Down - one for a box and another for a purse. SCH may have incorrectly assigned this accession number to the Ozengell pursemount. – D.H."
