M 7088 - a label bearing this number and the inscription \Woodnesborough 1828\" may refer to this axe in which case it is from Combe.Card 2: Westnesborough 1828 - an original label now detached from its object.Almost certainly the axe cf. Med.Arch. XI (1967) from the burial at Combe but if so then found considerably earlier than the excavation. Probably the axe filed under Ozingell."The Gatty Slip information for M 7088 indicates that it is a ceramic vessel labeled 'Westnesbro 1828'. SCH is almost certainly incorrect in her assignment of this object to the accession number M 7088. Also the reference the Archaeologia 1852 is incorrect. – B.B.
