Douglas 1793, 49f.:Iron head of an Axe [note omitted]; the metal entirely corroded, 7.5 inches in length from the head to the edge. Found close to the brass vessel, fig. ((4.)) on which the accretion of iron in the form of the axe is very discernable.Found in 1771 and given to Douglas by Edward Jacob of Faversham; 'Tumulus XV'. – B.B.
