Iron and copper-alloy rim binding of a sword?, with textile remains

Iron shield binding according to C. Roach Smith, but quite straight and more probably binding from sword scabbard. Two pieces joining, length 14cm. U-sectioned iron strip with bronze clips (2) riveted, and with rivets with curious oblong head of semicircular sectioned decorated with transverse rivets. Textile remains on iron.
