Kite-shaped gold and garnet pendant, length 1.7cm. Wedge-shaped flat garnet mounted on chequered gold foil, in gold frame, collared at base by beaded and twisted gold wire, and above this by a very fine beaded wire. Plain and thin gold backplate put on after twisted wire, made in one with loop, which is thicker, and has been grooved before mounting, and then bent over and soldered at front. Deep reddish gold. Very good condition, no sign of wear on loop.
