Card 1: Silver-gilt circular brooch with garnet, diam. 2cm. Rim with double row of nielloed triangles, central cell with flat garnet on chequered gold foil. Between chip-carved ridges with 4 cross-ridges in pairs. On back normal catchplate and silver attachment for iron coil. Pin missing.Card 2: Circular, bronze gilt fibula, set with garnet, lying amongst b. (beads). Diam. 2cm. Raised frame with double row of niello triangles, raised central garnet. Interweaving decoration of 2 channels with 4 cross ties. Two object index cards were created by SCH for this object, leading to the assumption that there were two brooches in this grave.
