War Affects Three Generations Charles Beauchamp (1881-1971)
Date of first engagement 12/10/1899 - released August 1945.

Three letters from members of the Reynolds family show the story of how war can affect generations. Charles Beauchamp fought in the First World War, but was also mobilised in the Second; his wife, Eliza (nee Reynolds) ran the post office in Hinton St. George; and Eliza's mother Susanna Smith (married Arthur Reynolds).

Letters from:

Susanna Reynolds, 20th Feb 1940
Eliza Beauchamp, 18th Dec 1941
Rita Beauchamp (daughter of Eliza), 22 Feb 1945

I write about 3 letters and as the story file was too big to share in the box it is attached below. War affects 3 generations. I have a scanned airmail letter - letter 3 but cannot upload it. It is clearly written and provides great social history detail.
