Hilda Dobbs's memoir of the war

The contributor's mother was at school during the war. She was born in 1928, and so she was 11 in 1940. Her name was Hilda Harris; she married and became Hilda Dobbs. She belonged to the Junior Air Corps. She moved to Northampton. The contributor brought her cookery book.

The contributor brought a typed script of her mother's memories of the Second World War. It was written during the 1980s. Her mother went to work in a haberdashery shop.

She also brought a prayer/ notebook, and a picture from the 1950s corner shop. Her mother helped do the rations book during the war.
