Grandfather, Roland Tucker, in his 20s.
Bullet pulled out of him in Greece.
South African airforce pilot.
Flying over Greece, bullet came through window, plane came down, Greek pulled him out of the plane.
Handed over to the Germans became a PoW.
Only 28 of the 96 pupils that started in his flying school survived.

No flying experience before, conscription. Chose to go to airforce.
