Glass globular beaker

Glass squat jar (Harden Class VIII, b, 1). Height 10.3 cm, rim diam 5.2 cm. Glass light golden brown with fine air bubbles. Splayed rim, inward folded: swelling body with pushed-in omphalos base, with pontil mark. Decorated with narrow and shallow fluting from base to rim. Glass very thin, and whole vessel elegant and well-made. Rim shows only slight trace of wear.
