George Hume: A Piper in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers

George Hume joined the Kings Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB) in 1925 (Private 3184175). George was a regimental piper. George left the service in 1933 to get married and was later called up when the Second World War broke out, to serve in the 6th Battalion of the KOSB.

George sent a card before being evacuated from Dunkirk, saying 'I am quite well.'

The contributor brought in birthday cards that George sent to his daughter, Isabel, from Europe during the war.
