Frank Hayter, Royal Marines

<p dir="ltr">Frank Hayter was a Royal Marine. He served on HMS Nelson for an unknown length of time. He had a long career, and was known to have been in Turkey in 1925. He primarily served as a driver and instructor for lorry drivers.</p><p>His wife's brother, whose surname was Barton, died on the Barham in 1945. Another uncle, possibly Dougie Barton, fought in Normandy in 1944 and was killed that summer. </p><p>They lived in Portsmouth before and after the war, but the family was relocated to Wiltshire during the war years. </p>
