Framed memorabilia which didn't match the wallpaper!

We have brought along framed medals and photos but know very few details. It's emotional to talk about. There is a framed picture of the 79th Armoured Division's D-Day locations. Very little is known about it.

My Dad and Grandad (both called Jack Bailey, but colloquially known as 'Jack') served in the Second World War. They talked about it very little, but Dad did frame and display the medals and sent off for the framed picture, which was created as memorabilia. Mum, John's wife, hated them being displayed in the hallway as they didn't match the wallpaper!
