This is the story of my Grandad and his time served in the RAF during World War 2 as an air gunner/wireless operator. It's from when he enlisted in August 1939 to his time with 425 Squadron up to 1944. He spent time in South East Asia with ACSEA, and family rumours say he spent time flying with Lord Mountbatten around South East Asia, but to this day, I can find no evidence of his time served there other than what his record says and his personal photos. Most importantly, there is the leather-bound signed photo of Lord and Lady Mountbatten.
