This course provides an opportunity for students who are first in their family to go to college, or first in their family to go to law school, to reflect on their own educational journeys and to see how their trajectory of formal education is similar to and/or different from the journeys of famous First Gen lawyers, e.g., Barack Obama and Sonia Sotomayor. The principles of memoir writing will be used to guide student writing.
