Evacuation Memoir of Brenda Keer

At the age of 6 or 7, Brenda Keer was privately evacuated to the countryside in Beckingham, Nottinghamshire. Living with a childless couple on a farm, the contributor was unhappy and lonely and returned to her family in London after about a year. She recalls her time in this village, which remained a difficult memory for her for decades to come until her and her family visited the family by coincidence years later and had a happy experience.
