‘The life and conduct of the holy honourable fathers, the ascetics Apa Longinos and Apa Loukios, his spiritual father. They completed their honourable life on day 2 of the month Mecheir (27 January).’

The parchment codex M 579 with the Life of the ascetics Longinus and Lucius comes from the monastery of the Archangel Michael near Hamuli in the Fayum and now belongs to the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. The date of production of this manuscript falls most likely into the 9th century..
