The parchment codex M 583 with the Life of Anthony by Athanasius comes from the monastery of the Archangel Michael near Hamuli in the Fayum and now belongs to the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. The colophon dates the production of this manuscript to the year AD 822–823.
