The monastery of saint John is addressed in line 1–2 as follows:

ⲉⲓⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲫⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲡ[ⲡⲉⲣⲓⲡⲁⲧⲟⲥ?

‘… I am writing to he dikaion of the place of saint John in the [Peripatos?]’

The confraternity of the same saint is mentioned in line 7 as follows:

ⲡⲟⲓⲕ]ⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲫⲓⲗⲟⲡⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲫⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲡⲡⲉⲣⲓⲡⲁⲧⲟⲥ
