At least twenty six documents from the site of the monastery at Deir el-Bala'izah mention a monastery of Apa Apollo, so that it is likely that the monastery at Bala'izah went (also) by the name of Apa Apollo. Whether this is the same Apa Apollo known as the founder of the monastery at Bawit remains a matter of much debate.
