E04328: Greek document from Syene /Aswan (Upper Egypt), concerning the sale of shares of houses, mentioning a shrine (topos) of the martyr Apa *Viktor (son of Romanos, Egyptian martyr, S00749) and a quarter of the town named after him, dated 6 March 594.
P.Lond 5 1733:<br><br>This document is a sale of shares of houses stating their exact location.<br><br>Lines 24–25 read as follows:<br><br>ἐπὶ τῆς αὐτῆς Συήνης περὶ τὸ νότινονμέρος τοῦ Φρουρίου<br>καὶ περὶ λα̣ύραν τοῦ ἁγίου ἀθλοφόρου Ἄπα Βίκτορος μάρτυρος<br><br>'… lying in the same Syene in the southern part of the fortress and in the Quarter of Saint Apa Viktor, triumphant martyr.
