The ostracon from the monastery at Dra Abu'l Naga (north of Deir el-Bahari) shows a fragmentary letter to a deacon, from a monk named Apa Dios, whether he is the later saint of $E02472 remains only a possibility.

Lines 9–11 read as follows:

ⲧⲁⲁⲥ <ⲙ>ⲡⲇⲓⲁⲕ(ⲟⲛⲟⲥ)
ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲁⲡⲁ ⲇⲓⲟⲥ
ⲡⲓⲉⲗⲁⲭ(ⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ)

'Give it to the deacon, from Apa Dios, the least.'

(Text: A. Erman and W. E. Crum, trans. G. Schenke)
