BKU 1 73<br><br>In this text a wife accepts the punishment for her husband which seemingly consists of not being allowed to attend the service and feast for the saint Ananias, until the dues are paid.<br><br>Lines 5–10 read as follows:<br><br>ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉϥϭⲙϭⲟⲙ ⲛϥⲃⲓ ⲛ̣ⲁ̣ ϣⲁϥⲃⲓ ⲛⲁⲁ ⲡⲓ̣ ⲧ̣ⲉ̣ⲛ̣ⲓ̣ⲟⲛ ϩ̣ⲣ̣ⲁⲓ ⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲧⲛ <ⲧⲛ>ⲥⲱϣⲧ <ⲙ>ⲡϣⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲕⲁⲗⲏⲗⲁ<br>ⲛⲁⲡⲁ ⲁⲛⲁⲛⲓⲁⲥ ϣⲁⲛⲧϥϯ ⲛϣⲟϥⲧ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲁ<br><br>'His wife said: "He will be strong and bear these. The ostracon with this fragmentary text is housed in the papyrus collection in Berlin, P.Berol. inv. 8716. The text has been dated on palaeographical grounds.
