This extensive annual account, dated to the year 566, records the income and expenses of the large Apion estate. Amongst payments to tenants, employees, craftsmen, and churches, made in measures of wheat, there is also one listed to the martyr shrine of Serenos, line 164:
εἰς τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ ἁγί(ου) Σερήνου κατὰ δωρεὰν Ἀπολλῶ υἱ(*)οῦ τοῦ ἐπισκόπου ἐν κτήμα(τι) Ταρουθίνου
'To the martyrium of St Serenus according to a grant of Apollos son of the bishop in the holding of Taruthinu, …'
