E01928: Greek building inscription for a hostel (xention?) of *George (soldier and martyr, S00259). Found at Bsērīn, to the south of Ḥamāh/Amathe (central Syria). Dated 616.

Basalt stele with a pointed top, surmounted by a disc containing a cross. The cross is depicted standing on an oval object with three pendants. Reused in the wall of the apse of a mosque (probably a converted medieval church). The inscription is within a frame. There is no published account of its dimensions.
Discussion
For a hostel (xeneon) at Umm el-Khalakhil to the east of Apamea on the Orontes (central Syria), named after *Theodore, probably the martyr in Euchaita, see: E01875.
