ܒܝܪܚ ܟܢܘܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܒܫܬܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܒܕܝܘ̈ܢܝܐ ܡܘܕܝܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܐܣܛܦܢܘܤ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܪܫܐ ܕܡܘ̈ܕܝܢܐ.
'In the month Former Kanun (i.e. December), on twenty-sixth (day), according to (the reckoning of) the Greeks, – the first martyr at Jerusalem, the apostle Stephen, the chief of the martyrs.'
