Source
A stone cube. Probably broken and lost on top. There is no detailed description of the object. Found at Gömüş Konak/Yürme (ancient Germia). When recorded, it was reused in a wall. Now covered with plaster. Below the inscription there is a carving of a cross.
Discussion
This poorly preserved inscription is the epitaph for a certain Theopemptos, styled the servant of the God-Bearer (Theotokos). His father, Ioannes, was a dekanos, i.e. a member of an association, dekania, probably providing burial services (see: E00780).
Dating: probably late 5th-6th c. (based on the lettering and contents).
