On the verso of a papyrus document of the year 551 from Aphrodito, part of the Dioskoros Archive, one finds an encomion dedicated to Saint Menas composed by Dioskoros himself, entitled: εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Μηνᾶν ἰσόψηφα ἐγκώμια ('isopsephic encomia for Saint Menas').
