Copper-alloy shield-on-tongue buckle

Bronze buckle, width 3.6 cm, length of tongue 4.4cm. Nearly circular loop, slightly concave on underside, with short straight bar to which tongue attached by bronze hook. Tongue has basically square back with semicircles cut out at sides. Loop decorated with 5 pairs of broad grooves with nicked ridge between interspaced ornament on tongue, now very worn.
