Stout bronze ring , diam. 1.75cm. Made of wire with slightly tapered terminals fastened in knot. Iron staining around knot, and a lump of iron still adhering almost as if threaded on like a bead.SCH had originally placed this object in unprovenanced objects. Gatty slip and National Museums Liverpool database indicate that it comes from Kingston grave 259. No such ring is described from grave 259. Database entry suggests graves 260 or 298, but descriptions of these graves do not specifically mention ring with lump of iron. – D.H.
