Bronze pin, length 3.75cm. Tip slightly damaged. Flattened spherical knob, with 2 grooves below, circular sectioned shaft with slight thickening towards tip, accented by pair of grooves at point of maximum girth, then tapering to point.The catalogue number M 6553 is used for copper-alloy pins in Graves 31 and 103 and bone? pin in Grave 172. – D.H.
