Gatty Slip: Small brass instrument, found at Gilton Town, Kent. Labelled \Ash 1762\". Formerly in the Faussett coll. Vide MS Inven. Sep. vol. 2 p. 56 [image]"Bronze chatelaine pendant, length 3.4 cm. Round sectioned shaft with flattened lobe at top perforated for suspension. Triple groove above lozenge-sectioned spear-shaped point.Grave 27? Apparently labelled G Ash 1762 (?)If Ash 1762, not from grave 27, but no 1762. Grave had this kind of toilet set.The label \Ash 1762\" may be incorrect as no graves excavated that year (graves 50-71) produced copper-alloy chatelaine pendants. Those graves that did produce pendants were: 27 or 41 (excavated in 1760) and 76 81 or 87 (excavated in 1763). – D.H. & B.B."
