Gatty Slip: Small brass instrument, found at Gilton Town, Kent. Formerly in the Faussett coll. Vide Inven. Sep. pl. 12, fig. 6 [image]Bronze chatelaine pendant, length with ring 4cm. Wire suspension ring, fine, with knotted twists, threaded through pierced roundel set at right-angles to plane of terminal. Round sectioned shaft with 4 grooves midway down; below this the shaft flattened and a base a flat simple double sided hammer.The pendant is likely to have come from one of the graves that produced copper-alloy chatelaine pendants: 27, 41, 76, 81 or 87. – D.H. & B.B.See MS Diary IIfolio 56. – B.B.
