Gatty Slip: Small brass instrument, found at Gilton Town, Kent. Formerly in the Faussett coll. Vide Inven. Sep. pl. 12, fig. 6 [image]Bronze chatelaine pendant, length 3.5cm. Round sectioned shaft, with triple grooves at top centre and bottom; at top a well-made pierced roundel; at bottom a lozenge-sectioned rounded shouldered miniature spear with double chevron grooves at top.The pendant is likely to have come from one of the graves that produced copper-alloy chatelaine pendants: 27, 41, 76, 81 or 87. – D.H. & B.B.
