From the Faussett diary: \here were also 2 small brass Buckles (see Fig: 3 4) that which is described at Fig: 3 [M 6264] has some leather still remaining under the Rivet on the Under side - the other has some Cloth sticking to the upper side of it [M 6265].\""Bronze buckle cast in one with plate, length 2.8cm. Oval loop tongue missing, with rectangular plate, decorated with fine engraved diagonal cross between sets of triple grooves at loop end, base having four grooves, 2 triangles cut out between (to show coloured leather through probably). On back 3 pierced lugs, one set in line with base at bottom, two in line with sides near top.
