Bronze buckle: D-shaped plate cast in one piece with plate, total length 2.8cm. Very stylised animal heads at ends of hinge-bar, picked out by tooling; decorative notching and two rows of punched tooling around edge of plate, which has two rivet holes; simple tongue hinging through rectangular hole at top of plate.Parallels: the other Sarre eg. of my Class IIIB buckles, early Frankish type.
