Gatty slip (M 6219): 2 bronze handles from an open pan, found at Gilton Town, Ash, Kent. There is an old label, nearly illegible, which probably refers to these two handles & probably also M 6215 - It says \The handles of 2 flat brass kettles found at Ash 1760 - each kettle was found standing upon a flat round trivet of ...\" But the label is very illegible & possibly this may not be a correct copy of it. It is probable that these handles or M 6215 have some connection with trivet no. 6085 but it is not known."M 6215: Mayer card: One bronze handle and three supports for handles found at Gilton, Kent, formerly in the Faussett Collection and labelled \Found with other Roman antiquities at Ash\". [sketch]"The accession numbers M 6215 and M 6219 are both for copper-alloy handles. The gatty slip for M 6219 indicates that one or other of the accession numbers may be associated with M 6085, the trivet; it is more likely that the handles are associated with this copper bowl. M 6219 is \lost\" but M 6215 is still extant and in the Mayer Collection. The details in the National Museums Liverpool database for M 6215 are \": L. 180mm W. 73mm depth 7mm bronze\". – D.H."
