online resource
posted on 2024-06-05, 19:15 authored by Their Finest Hour Project Team

Arthur was stationed in Italy where he was shot but was saved as the cigarette case he kept in his jacket pocket deflected the bullet. This saved his life. Arthur would then always carry the cigarette case with him.

This was the only WW2 memory he would ever talk about.

Arthur's Daughter brought in her Father's collection of medals, pin badges, documents and photos.
