Chartham Down Grave 47
No tumulus; the grave was about one foot and a half deep. The bones of a grown-up person, pretty perfect; the coffin had passed the fire. Here were two small brass buckles [M 6739 & M 6740], one of which has a brass shank; and the blade of a knife.
