Chartham Down Grave 16

Large tumulus; grave nearly six feet deep. The bones were almost gone; no appearance of a coffin. Near the right knee were two brass armillæ linked together [M 6725 & M 6726]; and a small brass key [M 6724].[1] A woman's grave.[1]The armillæ and key are both of Roman fabric.- C.R.S.
