Charles William Stockford (1920 - 1991) was a prisoner of war for 5 years. He was shot in the leg. Charles joined up in May 1938 with the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and was eventually discharged in March 1946. He was with the BEF in France on 17 January 1940 and was wounded. He was captured in Kassel on 19 June 1940 and remained a prisoner of war until 13 May 1945.
