This story is about my uncle, George Edward Stephenson Maycock. He was in the Royal Army Service Corps as a driver. I have some items of his uniform in my possession. His Army number was T/78068.

In 1940 my uncle was at Dunkirk, and had gone out further into Belgium and was captured. He became a Prisoner of War, and remained as a POW for five years. His POW number was 37152. He was held in Staumlager VIIIa at Gorlitz in Lower Silesia (Saxony) and in Stalag VIIIB.
